The Boy Called ‘Miracle’

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Sometime last month I had the privilege of telling the story of ambitious teenager, Miracle, who in spite of being faced with the reality of hawking bananas on the street of Ajegunle (a slum in Lagos, Nigeria) and having the burden of trying to raise his school fees and feeding for his family on worse days; takes refuge in feeding his mind through books.

He goes to the library consistently even after walking up to 20 kilometers on a daily hawking.

Miracle told me ‘I come to this library to read and become an Engineer in future so I can afford a better life.

Thanks to this FREE library set up in the slum by Grace Chi Nkwocha an incredible super lady doing so much for her community through Transforming Ajegunle Projects Group

I hope that this report sends some miracles Miracle’s way
