Paying Forward

Reading Time: 2 minutes

It’s such an honour to be invited by Olaito Yinka as a resource person to speak to young, hungry and passionate communication students drawn from different universities on how to do this thing we do (journalism) and why we keep at it in spite of many road blocks😂

It’s a thing of joy to see more young people interested in journalism and communication and determined to be there for the long haul and making quality, competence and excellence their watchword

I am inspired more, sharing my experiences so far as one who has worked in the local media and now a foreign correspondent. I liked their spontaneity and the honesty in their questions.

It was also time to share the reality of striving to be an authentic individual/professional both online and offline- carry the same substance!

#YinkaOlaito is doing an incredible job with this initiative of Africa Foundation for Young Media Professional. Thank you for looking into the direction of these young people and providing professional guide and support to them. It is impressive.

I am excited to have spent two days with them and learning too from them and drawing strength from their desire to be seasoned, intentional, impactful and grounded journalists/communication experts.

My wish for each one of them is TO BLOSSOM WHEREVER THEY ARE PLANTED ❤️
