My Presentation at the 2021 African Investigative Journalism Conference- Investigating Humanitarian Conflicts and Extra Judicial Killings

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Those you see on that stage are Nigeria’s finest conflict reporting journalists.

Amazing colleagues covering conflicts in Nigeria: Taiwo Hassan Adebayo, Busari Kemi, Kunle Adebajo, Abdulazeez Andulazeez and of course, Amaka Okoye.

It was ably moderated by our senior, Dr Chido Onumah

Look, it’s such a blessing to be the only lady amongst these brave men, blazing the trail.

I saw the surprise in the eyes of the participants and the many unspoken questions as well.

Since after my session at AIJC 2021, I have had a lot of questions on my inbox. But the most common is, “How are you doing this as a female journalist? Are you not scared for your life?”

Well, I will write a whole epistle on this later.

Before I come back with my tips remember these women did it @clarissawardcnn,  @camanpour , #NimaElbagir# and many others, and are still doing it. So will I. So will you, if this is what you are called to do and be.

Below is my presentation
