Kidnapping for Ransom in Nigeria and why it is far from Ending

Nigeria has seen mass abductions and kidnappings in recent times. The security situation has also faced serious challenges. In this report, my colleague Olisa Chukwumah recently spoke to a negotiator and a family whose brother was in the Kaduna train attack. He says it is sadly a “booming  business”

Sadly, there is a growing enterprise here. Those who are kidnapped and lucky to be released have their lives changed forever, they go through intense trauma to say the least.

How long will this menace continue and what is the way forward?
