I am living my dream

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Attending the International Journalism Festival was a dream come true. I have always wanted to attend it. I honestly think every journalist should aspire to attend it. I left really inspired and charged.

I met and saw in person journalists from different parts of the world that I see only on screen or read on the pages of prints. I also had quick, brief chats with some like Ruona J. Meyer who was super warm and welcoming. In our few minutes exchange, she lit my candle and told me something I am holding dear to my heart. Thank you.

I am grateful to my colleagues at DW News and my boss Fabian Von Der Mark.

One thing that has remained with me is to always seek growth and learning. The opportunities will present themselves. I have shared my thoughts and takeaways from the Festival for a publication and won’t want to replicate the same here. When it is out, I ll make it available here too.

Lastly, journalism is beautiful and I make bold to say, I am living my dream😊
