The regional bloc ECAS is meeting to discuss the coup in Gabon and you almost know why.
Let’s put it in context- Gabon is a member of the 11 countries in ECAS. So is Equatorial Guinea and Cameroon. Obiang and Biya have been in power for over 40 years. They must be shaking now.
If as we have seen in Gabon a successful military takeover, what happens to these other countries with sit-tight presidents?
Yes, ECAS has to meet!
But what next now for Gabon?
Is it indeed a new era?
Or will people “make noise“ for Ali Bongo as he had appealed in an earlier video from his house arrest?
Interesting times!
NB: Tobiang took over in August of 1979 not 1795.
