Really grateful to MTN Nigeria for the opportunity to be part of its 2023 cohorts for the MTN Media Innovation Programme.

And to be taking this crucial course in one of Nigeria’s finest institution, Pan Africa University in smc_pau School of Media and Communication, Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos, Nigeria is a life time opportunity.

I have had trainings in conflict reporting, an area I am most passionate about and other trainings. But it will be my first in the digital and technology space and the disruptions as well as opportunities therein.

As one who has seen first hand how technology creates a great divide in places where they have no semblance of same, I would say this is about what I need. Not just for me, but for the many people who I meet when I go into these places and all those who have found my online activities resourceful.

When we were asked our expectations, it was clear to me that I really want to understand what goes on on that space and be able to interpret, translate and explain same in simple, comprehensible terms.

And I admit, that so far, I have encountered the best of professors, of doctors, of lecturers, of facilitators. It is a rewarding experience to be among very well seasoned key industry players, grounded journalists and media personnel.

To more learning and growth!
