Overtime in the history of Nigeria‘s elections, market women and women in the grassroots have played and are still playing crucial roles in terms of canvassing votes, mobilising other women to vote and delivering votes to any candidate they support.

In this new report that takes me to an ancient community where women are at the forefront of canvassing and delivering votes for politicians every other election year, I am asking the question “are they (women) really the kingmakers who make the kings but don’t sit at the table?“
